Question for dads out there....

Not that I want to bring anything gross to this thread, but it seems like the right spot....

While your wife/signifigant other was pregnant....did she, um...want sex a little more often than usual??

My finace is 5 months pregnant now and well, she seem to want it a LOT...I just wanted to see if it was sort of normal and how you guys dealt with it.....any moms can chime in too.....

I have two friends who are now fathers....one's wife was sickly while pregnant and they didn't have sex, while the other said that he and the misses were doing it twice a day.....

Just for my FYI, I guess...Thanks

Oh, it's far, far, too late to bring up any concerns about grossness on The Cellar. Between the Shower Peeing thread and the Nose Picking thread, I don't think you need to worry about this one.

The "conventional wisdom" is that the second trimester is a very, very horny time.

My wife was one of those whose "morning sickness" extended for most of the day, and continued for pretty much the entire pregnancy rather than tapering off after the first few weeks. So the conventional wisdom was pretty much out the window. I spent the first pregnancy reliving my bachelor days (hanging out at the mall and seeing movies--I tell you, I'm a wild man!!!) and the second amusing our daughter so she'd stay out of my wife's hair while my wife was tossing her cookies.

As to how to deal with your situation...umm... jeez, man, do we have to draw you a picture??

Man why wasn't I here sooner

Well my fiance had the whole sickness thing, maybe about 6 weeks, she still has a 'light' stomach, but she doesn't blow chuncks NEARLY as often....

I would say about a month ago she started to show and I guess for some reason that got it going....I looked up on line and in reference material and while she's getting bigger all this fluid is like being forced into her abdoman and eventually her vaginal area, so this makes her want to get off.....

I remember about three weekends ago, we had a WHOLE saturday of nothing but sex and playing around.....so we go to bed Saturday night and what do I get to my surprise.....woken up to her masturbating! She isn't in the mood all the time, but when she is..MAN.

Oh I'm not complaining I just didn't want to think the mother of my kid had turned into a nympho! so that is why I wanted to get some opinions......

And don't worry, there's pleny of room for both of you in there.

i'm afraid I did.

i dunno why. when i think about it, it doesn't bother me, but the reality was different. But then, when she was ready to have Ripley, the doctor suggested that i have at it in order to help things along.

Well, I suspect that most men don't really mind. It's not like I found Case unattractive when she was pregnant. Quite the opposite, in fact. Maybe it was the increased blood flow creating a subtle glow about her, maybe it was the increased excitement in the house, preparing for a new baby and all. I really don't know. All I know is that I found her especially beautiful at that time.

And really, what man can resist a good-looking woman demanding sex? It was the first and probably only time in my life that she begged *me* for sex. I'll always remember that fondly.

Yes.
Not so much the first trimester, but the second and third were great. My friends mentioned they had the same experience with their wives. I loved it.

I miss those days. Now the kids just wear us out, and we sleep at night, when we can. Much less action between the wife and I these days. Sigh.
