Jb, you've let the canvas limit your art. Those wings would be ok flowing off of the canvas. as it is, the angel looks to be trapped in a box.
You can paint over tempera if it is dry. •spoken in to my phone

some color enhancement, stretch those wings out, duplicate the layer, drop a distant sun in, and flip layers, erase to give the lit from above/behind look.... groovy angel
