Firefighter Training
During the first night of my stay at Cape Lookout, I looked out the window and saw a bunch of firetrucks and a big group of firemen milling about. "What the hell is going on?" I said to myself. I soon found out; it was firefighter training for the area's small fire batallions. It made for some good photos. Below is a selection:
![]() First they practiced with the hoses. ![]() Then they signal the propane guy to turn on the propane. ![]() Then they light the propane torch. ![]() Then the propane guy really cranks up the gas. ![]() Then they send in two teams to fight the fire. ![]() Repeat through the night.
