No problem, applies to both. I've seen that at gas stations so many times, especially on divided highways where the cars coming in are all going the same way. Just pull to the right or left depending on which side your filler is on. Not your car? It shows right on the gas gage.
It seem more cars have the filler on the left because places like the Jersey Pike the cars pulling to the right of the pumps are about three to one. But there's inevitably somebody sees the other side is open and tries to drag the hose over the car.
