Dhalgren, by Samuel R. Delany. Very difficult reading. Interesting at times, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it.
I also reread the
Lucifer series by Mike Carey, which the new TV show is (extremely loosely) based on. Excellent series, and a fun TV show, but they have very little to do with each other.
