I've seen that video. Note that those are ONLY mature bears, that are well fed. They're successful hunters on their own and/or they've also snacked on waste foods that the humans have left for them.

Any bear that has gone hungry for awhile, or is preparing to hibernate and needs more fat, is a much more aggressive animal.

I've seen video's/pics of two other amazing friendships among animals:

1) The snake that bonded with a mouse or hamster, that was put into his cage, as dinner. The rodent actually rested right on top of the snake's coiled up body.

I'm guessing the snake was enjoying the rodent's extra bit of warmth, but just a guess.

2) Three cheetah siblings ran down a very young Tommy gazelle, licked it's neck and head, and then let it go. Very unusual, indeed.
