We don't do it the same over here.
Although the retail trade keep pushing and pushing it.

We live on a dark path with only one streetlight - and that dimmed because it's right in front of a house. The path to our house isn't long but a hedge deliberately obscures the house and we miss casual Trick or Treaters.

And I like them.
This year I'm pretty sure I've lost my eyeball lights, because Diz has smacked them about so much. My bad, I should have tidied them when I found one (of the casings) in his water bowl!

I have a some geegaws from the last few years and picked up a few from Poundland.
One especially which reads "Little Monsters Welcome Here". But again, unless the children's 'rents have torches even that might be missed.

Mum can buy the choccies.
She enjoys it too. And she's the one who snaffles the leftovers
