Unfortunately, I was traveling in the wrong direction. I *tried* to buy a
big duty free bottle of Jim Beam at JFK that was on sale for $24 (Damn, Edna!) but if you're in NY and flying to OR, that deal's no good.

That said, I did buy a few bottles of JD on the way
to the DR, and got a great deal, but I didn't buy nearly enough.
* Same bottle runs about $70 in Oregon; $90 or so in WA.
