Dads worked for a company that supplied various medicines & other controlled substances. He didn't have a Haz-Mat suit, but he did have to wear a radiation monitor and be checked regularly with a Geiger counter.
Mum joked about his willy glowing in the dark.
(I was all "EWWW" because as far as I am concerned neither of my parents have genitalia - like wrinkly versions of Barbie & Ken and I was brought by the stork.)
PS - that gesture in the UK is like flipping the bird LJ. We used to do it as if by accident in staff meetings when we were tired of corporate-speak, which always seemed to be about getting less money for more work. Stroke chin while flicking the Vs I mean. Not looking like a corncob.
