To many people, when you say New Years Eve, Times Square comes to mind.
Bazillions of people have seen the Times Square celebration, the ball and for a while the Big Apple, dropping at midnight.
A lot less people have actually made their way to New York City to participate in the party, but this year (or would that be last year now?) they claim about a million people showed up. I've been to Times Square (not on NYE) and believe me, it ain't
that big. They must have been huddled for warmth.
They say a 25mph wind was blowing around anything that wasn't tied down, but even with the wind's help there was over 40 tons of trash left behind... over a ton of just confetti.
I wonder if someone will do an article on some of the more interesting things the sanitation crews find?
