Not in real life, no. I wasn't trying to be rude, I promise. But is it possible that to some presumptive middle-aged retail manager, you might
appear as such? My point was that it isn't luck, obviously your girlfriend must have something appealing about her to be so employable--and conversely, if your resume was ignored by ten different places then there's almost certainly
something unappealing about it. If you want, post it and we'll give you some honest feedback. But don't cop out and tell yourself it's pure luck, try and figure out what it is.
