Marinated onions! Is that cool or what?

Aaand next on the platter: pickled!!

I do too know what pickled onions are! -- I just haven't eaten very many. First encounters with pickles -- that reminds me. A New Zealand friend of mine in high school got introduced to dill pickles on school lunch hamburgers. He thought they were absolutely awful. I tried to tell him about sweet pickles, or bread-and-butter pickles, but I don't think he ever believed me. He never did get a taste for them.
