Pass the bong over here. Are you really saying that politicians get as far in their careers as they do without knowing exactly how to lie to themselves and anyone within earshot about what they do?
The scary thing is that they know exactly what "collateral damage" is and they have body guards to run interference from enraged parents of dead children.
The alarming absence of children of politicians on the front lines would lend credence to my theory.
