I was watching a show today about olde English villages. They were interviewing these two older English gentlemen who seemed so delightful and pleasant.

I wondered, given their age, what hell they endured during WWII and marvelled at how it hadn't jaded them. I wish decorated veterans would wear their medals once a year. It would give me a chance to at least acknowledge them if not engage them in conversation and offer a measure of gratitude and/or respect.
