I had lunch on Saturday with a very, very dear friend who surprised the heck out of me with something special, and gave me a birthday gift on top of it! Saturday night was dinner with my mom, then Sunday (actual b-day) party at a friend's house where I was the secondary guest of honor ... at a surprise party for someone else, but I had my own cake (and no, I didn't have to decapitate anyone to get it).
