There was a cartoon floating around attributing the destabilization of Syria to the long-term drought in their agricultural areas. Our Western drought may change American agriculture but probably won't push us to a tipping point politically. Unfortunately Central America and Brazil have entered similar patterns, maybe the Pentagon's is right to be considering global warming a security threat.
