Here's something that hasn't happened since humanity has been watching: there are three Category 4 hurricanes in the Pacific Ocean right now.

Kilo, Ignacio, and Jimena from left to right, threatening Hawaii which you can see in the center-left. This is the result of the massive El Nino, which has left sections of the Pacific 4 degrees C warmer than the waters would usually be:
