They looked just like that and were horribly embarrassing. Especially when you did something PT like outside of school and they were they only suitable shoes you had
That or hiking boots. I always opted for hiking boots unless they were going to get wet (or there was a chance I'd loose them

Wasn't there anything your parents didn't allow you that most other kids of similarly placed families were allowed?
