Many keyboards and mice have extra buttons that you can program to do things.
Having a quick Mute button is really nice.

Thanks UT... I'm on Mac desktop 95% of the time.
Your comment made me realize the F-10 key toggles "mute".
This is enough until I find a way to actually kill "auto-start".
