My favorite bit was the prosthetic leg. Because it's a clever movie, you know, and I wanted to be cleverer, and I sat there trying so hard to figure out what crazy funny explanation they were going to come up with, and then... well, you know.

I think all the great lines come down to great casting. Delivery really is everything. I once heard a quip that the director's entire job (referring in this case to theater, but I think it applies to movies too) was making up for casting mistakes. Cast it right in the first place, and you almost don't need a director.
