You have to think of it in terms of what's most effective, JB. People will turn away from "honest hatred," as you describe it. That's a fact. When presented with a condemning, dire message, someone who was close to knowing God might turn away in frustration; while someone who may have spent their whole lives rejecting a higher power might turn around quickly, when presented with a loving, forgiving message.
You should not be an honest hater, or a lying lover. You should focus on you, and you alone. Live a model life and let others inquire for themselves about what your secret is. You have to earn the right to speak to someone else about their life. You have to wait patiently until your message is ready to be heard, and never push it earlier. Otherwise you will be accomplishing the opposite of what you want.
