Why are you so obsessed with homosexuality?
All I ever seem to hear from the more vocal evangelists of Christ's message concerns homosexuality and sexual sin (gay and straight).
Go read your holy book again. Count how many times the subject of homosexuality gets mentioned. Then count up how many times your holy book abjures covetousness and greed. Count how many references there are to the wickedness of inequality and the worthlessness of financial wealth. Count how many times your book tells you that all men are your brothers. Count how many times you are told to treat others with kindness, charity and forgiveness.
I see you on here, railing at those of your brethren who have chosen a different path. I see you casting judgement and revelling in the sufferings you think that different path will bring them to. I see you holding up those of your own nation as sacred and loved and special, whilst demonising and devaluing those of other nations. I see you complain, over and over and over, about the corrupting effect of music and song, of the dangerous roads to hell that await someone whose love is condemned, and of the primacy of the American n ation in God's great plan.
I do not see you rail at a global financial system that allows whole nations to languish in poverty and despair, where children pick at rubbish heaps to survive, literally subsisting on the scraps our nations discard. I do not see you complain about the homeless and dispossessed in your own country, I do not see your anger at the cruelty of men who, claiming themselves as ministers of God, blame the poor and the sick for their afflictions, and condemn the different for their difference, and bleed all kindness and charity from the words of your supposed saviour.
You are a hypocrite. But it isn't really your fault. You have opened your mind, not to demons, but to wicked men (and women) who profane the gospel and use the devout.
