If they are planning to get married, immigration status shouldn't be a problem. I guess they might have to do it on a faster schedule than they'd planned, should a problem arise, but they can always have a quick ceremony in front of a judge and then hold their real wedding when they had originally planned to.
Sounds like a genuinely happy accident--best of luck to the new parents and seasoned grandparents!
