If your work involves computer screens you should look into tri-focals.
Such areas give you focus for reading, desk-top computer screens, and for distance.
(Health-care programs usually consider "work" activity as a valid reason for the small extra $ expense.)
Otherwise, you'll find yourself tilting your head back trying to make the "reading" area stretch out to the screen.
This is particularly true if you are standing behind and looking over
the shoulder of a student or colleague to see their screen.
Tri-focals were a god-send for me during teaching and training sessions.
