Tomorrow I have the joy of becoming radioactive for 24 hours or so. I get the glowing sugar solution IV, wait around for an hour or more, and then the two scans are done more or less together. The scan took around twenty minutes last time, if I recall correctly. I'm hoping I'll be able to persuade the radiologist to let me see the images before I leave; otherwise I have to wait until August 12 to see the new oncologist.
I ate a steak tonight as my 'low-carb' dinner prior to the scan, thinking it'd be interesting to taste beef again, but it was probably a mistake. So heavy!
