When I was in Sri Lanka I was amazed at how happy and clean the school children were.
And I don't mean that (I hope) from an ignorant Western persepective.
On various trips and tours I saw where these children lived. As a child I was lucky to leave my brick-built house with a washing machine in a maritime climate without having some sort of smut ot crease or toothpaste mark I'd managed to hide from Mum.
These children left the equivalent of shacks and shanties in pristine white dresses or shirts every day. Walking on mud roads.
And yes, Cali, great photo.
Thanks for all your work on IotD.
