An intern, Emma Hurst, spent months archiving home movies from the 1920s through the 1970s. I have no idea where these movies came from, but they were in some archives.
Anyway, she went through and got stills from some of the most interesting one, and created
this tumblr of just stills. I had trouble deciding which was the best sample to show here, so here are three images. There are hundreds more at the link. Vacation pictures, birthday parties, holidays, burning cars on the highway, etc. etc.
