Oh gawd yes, professional repairs are not worthwhile in the main. But I really did mean someone who
knows about cameras. An aquaintance who has a few would be ideal. We have found taking the memory card out overnight has worked. Just using a different set of batteries.... stupid things but they worked. Digital Cameras are such Divas!
