There are supposed to be bagels at this meeting coming up. My boss asked me to check to make sure the bagels are already there. This is really the boss's secretary's job, but she's coming in late today. So I went by the conference room, and there are no bagels. So I stopped by the receptionist's desk and asked about the bagels. She checked the schedule and saw that bagels had been ordered, and said that she expected them to be delivered just before the meeting is supposed to begin. But my boss said that a meeting yesterday, the bagels were delivered an hour into to meeting (that's a long meeting. Glad I wasn't in that one.) and it was almost lunch time by then, so nobody ate the bagels and they went to waste. She wants me to make sure the bagels are delivered promptly for this one. But I don't know who delivers the bagels.
The good news is that I just heard the secretary's voice, so I think I can ask her to check on the bagels. she'll know who delivers them.
God, I bored myself just typing this damn post. At least there will be coffee there.
The meeting is about a roll out of new improved Wi-Fi coverage throughout the building and some new network server that will improve productivity.
But there will be coffee and hopefully bagels.
