There's a bunch of movies I like but since everyone has no doubt already seen them and formed an opinion about them I'll move on to movies that were worth a look that may not have shown up on everyone's radar.

I'll second the nom. for Cube. An interesting intellectual-type movie that you would expect to see on sci-fi or IFC at 3:00 am. I didn't understand/like the ending, tho. I rented Cube 2 (HyperCube) but didn't get to finish it - more of the same but with quantum shifts thrown in to add to the angst.

I thought Miyazaki's Spirited Away was pretty cool (Japanese animation but not anime) and my toddlers liked it.

Retro movies that I wouldn't mind seeing again for old times sake: Texas Chainsaw Massacre (good times and good BBQ), Wizards (I'm not sure I would like it now but loved it at the time), Clockwork Orange, and anything Peter Sellers was in to name a few.
