I can understand looking to feel good or escape problems, I guess...heroin will definitely make you forget your problems, along with your name, I'm sure...but how does speeding make you feel good? I mean, I can drink coffee all day, and go straight to bed, but if I take caffiene pills, I get nauseated, my hair's crawling, my heart's beating a mile a minute, and I'm bouncing off walls...ick. I can't imagine WANTING to feel that way all the time. And if you're unconscious (heroin), how can you feel GOOD? You can't feel anything.

I guess I'm trying apply logical reasoning to something that doesn't result from logical reasoning, and I know that doesn't work. I just really REALLY don't get why people will do something they know could KILL them. I mean, why do heroin when you can smoke a joint?

As far as "drugs" are concerned (and I include caffiene, nicotine, and alcohol in that category). I think some that are legal shouldn't be, and some that aren't should be, but that's another thread....
