Cap'n Kangaroo is the first face I remember on TV. And I still remember waking up to him and Mr. Greenjeans on cold Scranton mornings.
I hate it that all my childhood heros are leaving us. 76 is just too damn young. I'm not entirely comfortable (to say the least) with this ever-widening chasm that separates even further me from my youth.
And, like Bruce, I wonder what it means that our children will never know someone like that.
