Well, you know how big of a fan of Debian I am. Personally, I prefer their filesystem layout as well, but Red Hat's is pretty alright. Anyway, I am definitely very very impressed. Since I'm setting up this new box still, there was a lot I needed to install - and I've been apt-getting it now.

Jaggy - Probably. Definitely worth a shot (I giggled with delight as it downloaded and installed BitchX for me last night). I think it would probably work.

One thing to note is that the integration of apt with Debian is superior to anything on the RPM side - it's not <b>as good</b>, but it's pretty close. For instance, in Debian, if you do an

apt-get install ircd

it will download, install and start the ircd daemon. In Red Hat, I do believe you'll need to start the daemon yourself. But that's a minor problem. I'm definitely very excited about this.
