I have a similar bugbear linked to the "Who Do You Think You Are?" TV programme. Each celeb (that I've seen) is trying to
prove a link to a particular culture, and once they've found what they're looking for they stop. What about all the other grand- or great-grand-parents and their cultural input?
Meh, we're all the same about that .... (I focus on the musical great great grandfather to the detriment of the others in my family tree ...)
