You know, I think I can address this situation a bit. Having survived a near-fatal disease, (two of them, actually, if you count my propensity for happy pills and wine by which I mean vodka) I've got a handle on What's Important In Life - so much so that Oprah's producers are always after me to share my hard-won insights. It comes down to this:
Prettiness and Having a Man.
That is what is important in life, people. If you can't groove on it it's probably because you are ugly and Don't Have a Man.
