I'll drink Bud if someone else is buying and that's ALL they are buying.
But it tastes like gnat's piss.
Excepting Budweiser Budvar, naturally.
My favourite beer has to be Fruli Strawberry Beer.
And I'm not one for flavoured drinks (tart fuel), but this is a white beer from Belgium, laced with strawberry juice.
It's deceptively strong, in that you feel like you're knocking back pop... then after a couple of pints it's your turn to get a round in. It's a different story when you stand up
Trouble is, it tastes too good to drink slowly.
Hoegaarden is very nice - another Belgian white beer this time without flavouring.
It's quite citrussy.
Otherwise, in the local pubs & off-licences without a specialist selection, I'd go for Stella or Staropramen. Kronenburg at a push.
