Like, when you cross from Ohio into Kentucky, it's like landing in Oz from Kansas. It's completely different: you would think that state line wouldn't mean so much, but just look at this map for proof.

Well look at Indiana, the Ohio river didn't keep out those Kentucky people one bit (one of the reasons we are sometimes called Hoosiertucky). Why did it work for Ohio?
