But the point is, they're going from a monthly fee for access to a monthly fee plus measured usage. In this case it may only hit huge users, but in the never ending quest for profits, there's nothing to keep them from sliding that usage scale down, once people accept it as normal. It particularly sucks when there's no competition.
Seems like a couple weeks or so ago, I read the Canadian courts ruled the telecoms owned their poles, and could limit sharing. I suspect this may have come as a result of that ruling.
