Yes, I use them both, they do things differently and they do different things. Revo uninstaller can be used to install programs and when it does it keeps track of all the crap installed by the program and keeps a file of it. When you go to unistall that program it knows what was added and removes it.
It can also uninstall things it did not install and what it does then is runs the regular uninstaller, then runs a scan of your system looking for reg keys and other detritus and jetsam and asks you if you really truly cross your heart and hope to clean system reinstall want to remove them. Then it does. But it was clever and set a system restore point right before you uninstalled, because it knew deep in its heart that you are a fuck up and can't be trusted.
CCleaner doesn't always get all the leftovers that Revo does, and sometimes I will remove everything CCleaner finds and run the scan again and it finds another whole pile of stuff, and then I run it a third time and it still finds another whole pile of stuff. Makes me wonder.
