I often prefer to have a very dim light. If I'm in my tent on a dark night and I need to go outside for a few minutes, I just want a little bit of light to find my shoes and the zippers on the tent. The Fenix, even in it's dim setting, is a little too bright.

I also have a Surefire, but that only has one setting (it's a G2, I think), and it's very bright.

I have a Glo-toob FX in amber, and that has a lot of settings, but it's better as a lantern than as a flashlight.

I know, I'm picky.
