      I don't get tech TV ... damn it.

      Perth, Miyazaki also did Castle in the Sky. The art is not as good, but kids tend to love it. It's long too, just the thing when a parent needs to catch his/her breath. I'd also suggent checking out Princess Mononoke, not for the kid however. Has some bloody moments.
