It's the quintessential American car: loud, brute force, fast as all hell, named after a warship, uses far too much fuel, generates only 69 HP per liter, breaks down every 100 miles.
So at the annual gathering of Corvettes in Carlisle, PA, they take as many Corvettes as they can, and they make the flag. This one is from last year; this year, in August,
they intend to make an even bigger one...

54 Corvettes bigger, for a total of 158 Corvettes – 57 red, 51 white, 35 blue and 15 silver. Half of the event registration fee for all of the 158 Corvettes participating will be donated to Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit organization, committed to helping those who have selflessly given to their country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries.
