Homemade cake. I used a different recipe this year (not the family traditional one) - 1.4kg assorted dried fruits and 450g dough ingredients (
). The little figures are family "heirlooms", used on the cake most Christmasses throughout my childhood. We've eaten half the cake now - my mum wants me to take a slice to her in the Nursing Home she now lives in every time I visit, so it must meet with her approval!
