Grandma's last car is always the choicest, too, since she probably hasn't been driving it much since she got it.
My wife's grandparents, who are both 85+, have a '93 Taurus in absolute cherry condition with 36k. They can no longer drive it, but refuse to sell or hand it off to anyone (we were sort of hoping our 17 year old would be the beneficiary of that...it would be a perfect first kid's car in great shape).
I guess when my day comes to no longer drive, I won't be in a big hurry to admit it to myself, either, though. They're great people, but man, they drove about three years longer than they should have.
