Those are 'new' potatoes. The small red kind? It's a tradition here to just peel around the middle - I must admit I don't know why. I blistered them a bit in the frying pan, then put a finger depth or so of water, put the lid on and let them cook thru.
Hmm... leeks are looking good at the grocery this week. I'm always looking for new ways to fix chicken, I may try yours!
