Strawberry WTF. I used angel food cake. No lady fingers around here.
Using the below recipe. no way will all fit in pan, but it's nice to eat later, lo-cal ya know.
3 pkgs. plain ladyfingers
1 lg. can frozen strawberries
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 pt. whipping cream
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Drain juice from berries. Cook juice and cornstarch in saucepan, stirring regularly, until clear. Let cool and stir in berries. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until stiff (like whipped cream). Beat whipping cream until peaks form. Fold whipping cream into cream cheese mixture.
Line the sides of a 10-inch springform pan with ladyfingers, standing on end, rounded side facing out. Line the bottom of pan with a single layer of ladyfingers.
Put 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture over the ladyfingers. Put in another layer of ladyfingers. Put in the remainder of the cream cheese mixture. Put the berry mixture on top. Leave in refrigerator overnight.
