I have a problem with self control and the internet. Even though I'm not supposed to watch videos at work, I sometimes watch a short one. By enabling flash block I won't be tempted to click just to see for a second what one is.

I also found an interesting add-on for Firefox called Leechblock. You can block yourself from certain sites during certain hours or after you've spent a certain amount of time on that site that day. It's meant for people who have no self control and just keep going back to their favorite web site over and over again when they have work they should be doing. You can set it for certain levels, like you can type a password to override it, or you can set it up so you can't override it at all without uninstalling the the whole program. It's kind of like putting a time lock on the refrigerator.

Anyway, I just blocked youtube on my work PC with Leechblock. It doesn't block embedded videos for some reason, but I can't visit the site at all now without uninstalling the software. And flash block stops the embedded videos from tempting me.

I should probably Leechblock the Cellar, but that will never happen. It's usually open in a window somewhere.
