That's what I'm hearing from many of my buddies who are into gaming. It's more of a toy than a real video game machine, especially if you're into games that have graphics above what the Wii is capable of (it's stuck in 2003). It is comparable to games for the iPhone, there's only so much you can do with just a touch screen on that, and with the Wii there's only so many applications for motion control. So that combined with the limited selection of decent games means it mostly sits unused, only played in spurts when nostalgia for a Zelda/Metroid/Mario game comes up. And even then, you're wasting a good chunk of change on the Wii and it's motion controls if you're just into legacy games like those titles, esp. if it's a Gamecube title because you're forced to use the old Gamecube controller for those. Better off buying a Gamecube in that case, cheaper and near equal graphical capabilities. A great majority of quality new games are coming to the Xbox360/PS3/PC, the Wii is being propped up by cultural and media hype only to be used infrequently by a large number of those who buy it in favor of other systems.
