When I was a kid there were two machines which i used to rush to and pester whichever adult was with me to put a penny in,as they had working models/puppets, the first was an excecution where the doors opened and there was some one on the guillotine with a priest nodding away as if reading and just as the blade drops and before the head got chopped off the doors shut.
Sad but the machines were out of order on the day i was there or i would have took a picture when it was working
