Frozen fruit is much healthier than fresh because its picked much later in the ripening process and flash frozen. "Fresh" fruit in the store is picked before its fully ripe to allow for shipping time.
Sundae - I'm not a fruit person either. My wife eats tons of it and fusses at me because I don't eat much at all. I'm more a a meat and grains guy - oatmeal, wheat germ, wheat bread/crackers, etc. I eat most of the grains dry - with milk or a protein shake.
But she has a point. So since I like the roughness of grains I thought - why not dried fruit? Problem solved. I'll eat any dried fruit - I mix it with oatmeal or wheat germ for breakfast and maybe once for a snack.
That may or may not work for you but its worth a try. I will warn you about one thing tho. Dried fruit is often preserved with sulfer dioxide which is about the only thing on earth I'm allergic to - but only in large doses. Once I ate a bag of dried apples in about 30 seconds - I was starving - and my throat just closed up. So, start slow if you try any to make sure there are no problems.
Good luck with your effort. Its tough to make dietary changes but you will get used to it quickly and will soon lose interest in the food you are excluding from your diet.
